The goal behind the formal elements of this boathouse design is to translate patterns of human movement into inhabitable space. The sequence of buildings in plan view emerges from the mechanical flow of rowers. From reaching forward to pulling back in an elegant and fluid motion. This space aims to welcome and accommodate members of the rowing team and the community adjacent.
